John and Irene Ingersoll moved to the Napa Valley two years ago after spending nearly three decades in Southern California. Like most newcomers to wine country, they quickly set about visiting the most well-known wineries in the Valley and, in too many instances, joining their wine clubs. Having checked off the prominent wineries from their list, they sought recommendations from locals on the “hidden gems” in Napa and Sonoma – the places that may not appear in guidebooks or Google search results, but are wonderful places to visit nonetheless. This blog is dedicated to the wineries, restaurants, breweries, and other activities that make wine country special, both at home and all over the world. We are happy to share them with locals and visitors alike and hope that others will find them as special as we have.
