With Thanksgiving just around the corner, you might be wondering what wines to pair with dinner. All of the wines featured in our series are for sale in our web wine store: Topochines Vino Wine Store. Okay, let’s talk about pairing sparkling wines with some of the traditional foods that are served on turkey day. We recommend starting off with a sparkling wine that has no perceptible sweetness, although some of you might want to pour your sparkling wine throughout the meal. As far as we’re concerned, there’s nothing wrong with that! Here are a couple of wines to consider:
Griffin Dark Side Brut
This is the darkest sparkling wine we’ve ever seen, without exception. It comes from Croatia and is made from the rare Portuguiser grape. This is a very aromatic and flavorful brut sparkling wine and we think it will stand up beautifully to turkey, stuffing, or cranberry sauce.

Rarecat Cremant de Bordeaux
This delicious sparkling wine from France’s Bordeaux region is made 100% from Semillon grapes by Sharon Harris, a Napa Valley wine guru who also makes wine in Bordeaux and Champagne. Rarecat’s Cremant is produced according to the methode traditionelle with two fermentations, the second of which occurs in the bottle. Classified as Brut, this Cremant is crisp but balanced with plenty of fruit on the nose and the palate. This was our inaugural Cremant de Bordeaux and our takeaway is that it would be a perfect pairing with cheese or appetizers.

Griffin Sparkling Rose
This refreshing Rosé sparkling wine is made from the relatively obscure Portugiser grape, grown at elevations exceeding 1,300 feet in Croatia’s Plešivica wine region.
Regular price: $29.00. Use discount code Turkey15 at checkout for 15% off.
